Mr. Venturelli holds an undergraduate degree in Production Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (1988), an MBA from Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA/FEA) (1991) and INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France (2000). He has amassed over 25 years of experience in the fields of corporate management, global business management and commercial management in the chemicals and plastics industry, acting in both national and international companies. His career began at Dow Chemical, during the 1989-2007 period, where he held positions both in Brazil and in the USA, among which the functions of Global Business Officer and Corporate Strategic Development Officer. At present, Fábio Venturelli occupies the position of Chief Executive Officer at the São Martinho Group (comprising São Martinho S.A, São Martinho Energia S.A, Companhia Bioenergética Santa Cruz 1, São Martinho Logística e Participações S.A, Vale do Piracicaba S.A., Nova Fronteira Bioenergia S.A., Usina Boa Vista S.A. e SMBJ Agroindustrial S.A.), one of the largest producers of sugar and ethanol in Brazil. Mr Venturelli also acts as CEO and Officer of Nova Fronteira Bioenergia SA., a joint venture between São Martinho with Petrobras Biocombustível S.A., which aims at expanding the ethanol output in the Center-West region, through the companies Usina Boa Vista S.A and SMBJ Agroindustrial S.A. Mr. Venturelli also has a seat on the Board of SMA Indústria Química S.A (São Martinho & Amyris), of Vale Do Mogi Empreendimentos Imobiliários S.A (wholly-owned subsidiary of the São Martinho Group), of Nova Fronteira Bioenergia S.A and of CTC Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira S.A.
Mr Reinach holds an undergraduate degree in Biosciences from the Bioscience Institute of the University of São Paulo (1978), PhD from Cornell University Medical College, New York, USA, spotlighted for receiving the award of the best doctoral thesis in 1984; he also holds a postdoctoral degree from Dr. A.R. MacLeod, Ludwig Inst. Cancer Res., Medical Research Council Centre, in Cambridge, England (1986); and a master’s degree in Histology and Embryology, from the Bioscience Institute of the University of São Paulo (1980). His academic education also stands out for his postgraduate degrees from the Dept. Cell Biology and Anatomy, University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, and from Dept. Cell Biology and Anatomy, from Cornell University Medical College. He acted as Lecturer at the Chemistry Institute of the University of São Paulo, as a Full Professor at the Histology and Embryology Dept. of the University of São Paulo, and of the Biochemistry Dept., also of the University of São Paulo. Furthermore, Mr Reinach worked at the Biotechnology Research Fellow, Rockfeller Foundation, USA, from 1990 to 1997; and at the Research Scholar of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, from 1997 to 2001. Other highlights in his career include his function as a Member of the Brazilian Science Academy (1998), as the Secretary of Scientific Development of the Ministry of Science and Technology (1999), President of CTNBio – Biosafety Technical Commission (1999), as well as the achievement of an award as Commander of the National Order of Scientific Merit (2002). As for his executive career, Mr Reinach was Executive Officer of Votorantim Novos Negócios, during the 2001-2010 period, and he has acted since 2011 as Partner and Executive Officer of Fundo Pitanga, a venture-capital company. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of TIVIT and of AMYRIS; and he has been an Independent Member of the Board of Directors of CTC – Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira S/A since March 2015.
Mr. Pogetti holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, and a master’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Getulio Vargas Foundation. Pogetti built a renowned professional career as an executive in the financial industry, and currently occupies the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the following companies: Copersucar S.A., Eco-Energy Global Biofuels, LLC., Alvean Sugar Intermediação e Agenciamento Ltda., the Sugarcane, Sugar and Ethanol Producers Cooperative of the São Paulo State, and CTC – Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira S.A. Also noteworthy was his position as a Member of the Advisory Board of Sugarcane Agroindustry Association of São Paulo (ÚNICA) in February 2015; Member of the Board of Directors of Lógum Logística S.A, of the Brazilian Sincrotron Light Technology Association (ABTLus), and Member of the International Advisory Board of Dom Cabral Foundation (FDC).
Agricultural Director of bp bioenergy. With over 25 years of experience in the sugar-energy sector, he has built a solid career in companies such as Bunge and Jalles Machado, leading areas of planning, research, and agricultural operations. At Bunge, he played a strategic role in transforming the agricultural area, serving as Agricultural Director (since 2015) and Agricultural Planning Manager (2013-2015), with strong contributions to the improvement of operational and management processes.
Mr Lorencatto became CEO of Usina Coruripe in February 2018. Formerly, he acted as CEO for South America of the Lonza Group AG, and held executive positions in agribusiness-related companies – El Tejar Ltd Argentina e Zilor – and abroad, at both Philip Morris/Kraft Foods and Caterpillar. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from FEA/USP, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University – School of Management, USA.
Executive with 20 years of experience in Brazil’s oil and gas industry, specialized in financial management, tax affairs, and regulatory compliance. Led the partnerships area and exploration and production processes, integrating all E&P processes. Served as advisor to Petrobras’ CEO, contributing significantly to building the regulatory framework for the oil and gas sector. Led high-level negotiations with private and public stakeholders. Also led the diversity agenda at Petrobras, where she implemented a pioneering mentorship program for women and established initiatives to promote inclusion and belonging for women in operational environments.
With over 25-year professional experience in the administrative, financial, and production process areas of the sugar-energy sector, Mr Mizutani began his career at Cosan, one of the largest private conglomerates in Brazil, as a Planning Supervisor. In 2009, he took the position of CEO for the Sugar, Alcohol and Energy Segment of Cosan, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cosan. Currently, Mr Mizutani is the Executive VP for External Relations & Strategy at Raizen Energia S.A, formed by a joint-venture between Shell and Cosan in 2011.
Mr Wongtschowski holds a doctorate, a graduate degree and an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Escola Politécnica of the São Paulo University. He developed his professional career at the holding company Ultrapar Participações S.A, acting as CEO from 2007 to 2012; at Oxiteno S.A, as Managing Director, from 1992 to 2006; and formerly at Promon Engenharia. Mr Wongtschowski has been a Research Associate for the Technological Management Policy Center of the São Paulo University since 2012. He also acts as Chairman of the Board of Directors of EMBRAPII and of the Member of the Senior Board of ANPEI – Brazilian Association of Research, Development and Engineering of Innovative Companies. He also acts as President of the Industrial Development Studies Institute (IEDI), as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the companies held by Ultrapar Participações S.A, as a Member of the Board of Directors of Votorantim S.A and Embraer S.A, as an Independent Member of the Board of CTC – Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira S.A.
Throughout his over 25-year executive career, Mr Santoul has taken important executive positions in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Retail, Operations and Strategic Development, in companies such as Goodyear, McKinsey & Company, Electrolux and Technicolor. He holds a degree from the HEC School of Management, Paris. Currently, he has acted as CEO at Tereos Açúcar e Energia Brasil since early 2015, one of the leading companies operating in the sugar-energy industry in Brazil, the world’s third largest producer of sugar, as well as with a remarkable presence in the food industry, and the supply of sugar, Tereos produces ethanol and electric energy, on a large scale, stemming from the co-generation from sugar cane bagasse.
